Another Way Home: Outpatient Therapy Group for Young Adults 

The human brain goes through an intense period of growth in adolescence through the mid-twenties. Growth at this time is primarily in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is devoted to reasoning, decision making and abstract thought. During this time in human growth the mind is literally hungry for concepts, ideas and methods of reasoning. A miracle of nature, as these are the brain functions vital to adult life. Another Way Home (AWH) is designed to take advantage of this period of growth. Using a foundation of intense exercise in thought, interpretation, self-identity, and self disclosure, AWH provides wanted information. Concepts in personal growth, identity formation, emotional regulation, substance use, abuse and addiction are discussed in a group setting that is embraced by participants, as it is presented in a format that provides them with exactly what their minds seek at this time in their lives.
